Aboriginal Coaches & Officials Program

Saskatchewan has a thriving community of Aboriginal athletes who compete across the country and around the globe. These athletes are an inspiration to all young people to get involved in sport. At every level of participation, opportunities would not be possible without volunteer coaches and officials.

The Aboriginal Coaches and Officials Program is organizing training and developmental opportunities across the province for Aboriginal peoples to become involved in sport as a coach or an official.
The program consists of:
  • CAS Introduction to Coaching Workshops
  • NCCP Aboriginal Coaching Modules
  • NCCP Competition Introduction - Part A & B
  • NCCP Competition Development multi-sport modules
  • NCCP Fundamental Movement Skills
  • NCCP Coach PD workshops (e.g. Resistance Training, Empower+)
  • NCCP Sport Specific Clinics and Officials Clinics
(Note: other coaching or officials training initiatives not listed above may be considered).
