2014-06-12

2014 Provincial Championships

The Saskatchewan Soccer Association is very pleased to confirm that the 2014 Soccer 4 Life Senior Provincial Championships will be hosted in Prince Albert, in partnership with the Prince Albert Senior Soccer Association.

The competition will take place over the weekend of August 8-10, 2014 and feature Men’s, Women’s, Masters (Men 35+) and Classics (Women 35+) divisions.

“We are very excited to host the Soccer 4 Life Senior Provincial Championships in Prince Albert once again this year,” commented Dave Nutt, Director of Soccer Operations. “The Prince Albert Senior Soccer Association hosted an outstanding event last year and we are confident that, with a year of hosting experience under their belts, this year’s competition will be even better!”

For interested teams, the ENTRY FORM is now available on the website, with an early bird entry deadline of June 27th and final entry deadline of July 15th, 2014.

Once again in 2014, the S4L Masters Championship will serve as a qualifier for the Canadian Soccer Association Western Masters Championship, with the winning team earning the right to represent Saskatchewan at this prestigious competition. Although the winner will not advance to the Classics Regional Championship, the S4L Classics Championship remains an opportunity for Saskatchewan’s best Classics teams to compete for the title of Provincial Champion.

Finally, teams interested in entering the Saskatchewan Open Cup, which serves as Saskatchewan’s qualifier for the Canadian Soccer Association Senior Club National Championships (Challenge and Jubilee Trophies) are reminded of the upcoming Entry Deadline of Sunday, June 15th, 2014. The Saskatchewan Open Cup Senior Team Entry is currently available on the website.
