ASTRA SOCCER ACADEMY

Gabriel Milo, one of the ASTRA Soccer Academy’s first enrolees has completed a successful trial with the FC Edmonton Youth Academy. Milo, who turned 15 this February, joined the ASTRA Soccer Academy in 2011 and has trained intensely since then, opting out of league play to focus on his technical and tactical development.
He attended the FC Edmonton Academy during the February school break, and joined Academy players who are generally 11th and 12 graders. “He did very well and fits right in technically” said Jeff Paulus, FC Edmonton Academy recruiting officer. To minimize effects on his academics, Gabriel will return to FC Edmonton in the summer.
FC Edmonton is a Canadian professional soccer team based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Founded in 2010, the team plays in the North American Soccer League, the second tier of the American Soccer Pyramid. http://www.fcedmonton.com/

The ASTRA Soccer Academy which started as the Samba Soccer Academy in 1992 has also featured in the development of Women’s National Team player and Olympic bronze medalist Kalyn Kyle, as well as former National Men’s U20 player Kerr McLeod.
