SSA participate in Sask Sport High Performance Planning Initiative

SSA's High Performance Program have rolled out their planning initiative.
The Saskatchewan Soccer Association (SSA) is very proud to have participated in the Sask Sport High Performance Planning Initiative (HPPI), which culminated in a Best Practices Summit in Regina on Friday, June 14. The HPPI was led by world-renowned expert Dr. Peter Davis from Sport Performance Management Inc. located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Dr. Davis has vast experience in leading high performance planning having worked previously with Own the Podium (Canadian Olympic Committee), US Olympic Committee and Australian Olympic Committee, in addition to having recently led a similar project in Ontario.
Over a six month period, the SSA has undertaken a rigorous planning process, which led to the development of a new High Performance Plan to guide programming, services and support within the High Performance Stream from 2013 to 2016. The quality of this plan was recognized as both Terrol Russell, Manager of High Performance Stream and Dave Nutt, Director of Soccer Operations were invited to sit on panels during the Best Practices Summit, the only sport to receive the honour of serving on two panels. With the High Performance Plan now complete, members can anticipate a series of releases and communications in the near future outlining the future of high performance soccer in Saskatchewan.
