LLOYDMINSTER DRILLERS SOCCER CLUB
While the popularity of soccer in the city of Lloydminster is growing the Meridian Youth Soccer Association (MYSA) is making a few changes. All programming under MYSA will now be run under the name of the Lloydminster Drillers Soccer Club.
Along with the rebranding, there will also be a change to some of the programming. Starting this indoor season there will be the introduction of Age Group Trainers. The U8 division will run the same as in the past with a practice and a game per session. However two Age Group Trainers will be on field running practices and coaching the players. The U10 division will be identical to U8 but with one extra practice per week for players wishing to travel for competition events. Technical Director Kevin Wagner explains the importance of these changes "Developmentally it is a huge step for our program. The implementation of Age Group Trainers will provide structure, substance, and quality to a large portion of our youth players."
