Teams Set Sights on the 2016 Canada Soccer Sport Chek National Club Championships
Youth teams have been competing throughout the 2016 Premier Soccer League season with their eyes on the ultimate prize of representing Saskatchewan at the upcoming National Club Championships in October. With competition being hosted all over Canada, teams will be matched with teams from all over the country. For results of the 2016 PSL Season, please check out the PSL Website. Provincial representatives for the Jubilee and Challenge Trophies have been hard at work practicing and getting ready to face off against the best around the country.

Under 14 Girls - PSL Champions and SK Club Nationals Representative: FC Regina
PSL Finals for the Under 14 Girls was hosted in Regina on July 15 and 17, and was hosted as a 2-leg competition. FC Regina faced off against Queen City United over the weekend. FC Regina played with a sense of urgency throughout the two games, and in the end defeated Queen City United (3-0 and 4-0).

Moncton, NB will be the host city for the Under 14 Club National Championships. SK-FC Regina is set to begin qualification in Group A, with their first match on October 6 versus NL-St. John’s SC. With three more games over the next three days, SK-FC Regina will look to score those vital points against AB-Foothills, PEI-RC United, and NS-Halifax County United. Under 14 Boys – PSL Champions and SK Club Nationals Representative: Eastside U14
PSL Finals for Under 14 Boys was hosted in Saskatoon on August 5-7. Friday was an all-Regina semi-final, with Queen City United and FC Regina facing off, with the winner set to take on Eastside U14 on Sunday for top spot and a ticket to Club Nationals. After a decisive 6-0 win, FC Regina had secured their spot in the finals.
In the finals, Eastside FC got off to a strong start and carried that momentum to a 3-0 victory and claimed their title and spot at Club Nationals.

Moncton, NB will be the host city for the Under 14 Club National Championships. SK-Eastside FC is set to begin qualification in Group A, with their first match on October 5 versus MB-Bonivital SC. With three more games over the next four days, SK-Eastside FC will look to rack up the W’s against YU-Yukon Strikers, ON-Brampton East Blades, and NB-FDSA. Under 16 Girls - PSL Champions and SK Club Nationals Representative: FC Regina
PSL Finals for Under 16 Girls were hosted in Saskatoon on July 31st. Facing off in the final were FC Regina and Prince Albert Celtics. Both teams battled hard throughout the match, and a last second goal was the deciding factor in a 1-0 win for FC Regina.  

Lethbridge,AB will be the host city for the Under 16 Club National Championships. SK-FC Regina is set to begin qualification in Group C, with their first match on October 5 versus MB-Bonivital SC and their second match versus AB-Foothills 01 on the 7th. Under 16 Boys - PSL Champions and SK Club Nationals Representative: Queen City United
Finals for Under 16 Boys were hosted in Saskatoon on July 31st. Queen City United booked a ticket to Nationals by repeating as the PSL Champions with a  7 -0 victory over FC Regina.

Lethbridge, AB will be the host city for the Under 16 Club National Championships. SK-QC United is set to begin qualification in Group B, with their first match on October 5 versus ON-Scarborough Wexford Stingers. With three more games over October 7 - 9, SK-QC United will look to rack up notches in the win column against QC-Quebec, PE-Winsloe-Charlottetown Royals FC, and MB-Bonivital SC. Under 18 Girls SK Club Nationals Representative: SK Celtics

This year's U18 Girls Club Nationals representative is the SK Celtics. Represented by players from Regina, Saskatoon, and Regina, this group of dedicated players has been training throughout the summer in preparation for the national competition.

Vaughan, ON will be the host city for the Under 18 Club National Championships. SK- SK Celtics is set to begin qualification in Group B, with their first match on October 5 versus AB-Internazionale. With three more games over the next three days, SK-SK Celtics will look to rack up notches in the win column against QC-Varennes, ON-Saltfleet Stoney Creek Black, and BC-Coastal FC. Under 18 Boys - PSL Champions and SK Club Nationals Representative: FC Regina
PSL Final for the Under 18 Boys was hosted in Regina on July 15 and 17, and was hosted as a 2-leg competition. Action over the weekend saw FC Regina square off with Queen City United.  Both teams battled and competed hard for the right to represent Saskatchewan. Ultimately, FC Regina came out on top after the two-game affair (2-0 and 3-1).

Vaughan, ON will be the host city for the Under 18 Club National Championships. SK-FC Regina is set to begin qualification in Group B, with their first match on October 6 versus MB-Bonivital SC. With three more games over the next three days, SK-FC Regina will look to rack up notches in the win column against AB-Foothills FC, NS-Halifax City FC, and BC Coquitlam Metro-Ford SC. Senior Women – Saskatchewan Cup Winners and SK Jubilee Trophy Representative: Saskatoon SK Impact FC
First-year Saskatoon SK Impact FC won the Saskatchewan Cup by acclamation. While Saskatoon SK Impact FC are a newly-registered club in Saskatchewan, many of their players previously reached the Sport Chek National Championships with Saskatoon Hollandia Impact.

St. John’s, NL will be the host city for the Jubilee Trophy. SK-Saskatoon SK Impact FC is set to begin qualification in Group A, with their first match on October 5 versus BC-Richmond FC. With three more games over the next four days, SK- Saskatoon SK Impact FC will look to rack up the W’s against AB-Edmonton Northwest United, NS-Halifax Dunbrack, and NB-Fredericton Picaroons Reds. The one-time Challenge Trophy winners, Saskatoon HUSA Alumni won the Saskatchewan Shield by acclamation. Accustomed to spending their Thanksgiving on the pitch, this team has represented the province for close to a decade at this national tournament.

St. John’s, NL will be the host city for the Challenge Trophy. SK-Saskatoon HUSA Alumni is set to begin qualification in Group D, with their first match on October 5 versus NL-Mont Pearl and their second game versus NL-St. Lawrence Laurentians on October 7th. Details about the 2016  Sport Chek National Championships

As momentum builds towards the 2016 Sport Chek National Championships we are pleased to share an update regarding a number of initiatives, which Canada Soccer has developed in an effort to enhance the overall competition experience for participants, fans, families and the Canadian soccer community.

Live Streaming
Canada Soccer will broadcast every day from every venue of the 2016 Sport Chek National Championships, with the week-long schedule culminating with the eight gold-medal matches on the October 10th Teck Finals Day. It marks the most extensive coverage of the Sport Chek National Championships and the first time that every venue will have daily broadcasts.

Official 2016 Sport Chek National Championships merchandise is now available for sale online. In addition to online orders, event apparel will be made available for purchase on-site at all four championship locations.
