Re: Organizational Structures and Bylaw Amendments
From: SSA Board of Directors
As you are aware, the SSA has engaged the services of Paul Varian from Capitis Consulting to assist the Association in the development of a new strategic plan. The plan will not only guide the strategic activities and ambition of the Association through to 2020, but, as mandated in the SSA's expiring 2012-2015 Strategic Plan, will also bring recommendations for consideration for the establishment of a new membership structure.
In September, Paul Varian hosted a number of consultation workshops, meetings and discussions with you, our organizational membership, to help inform and guide content of the emerging plan. An online survey has also been issued to you as part of this work, that we urge you to complete if you have not done so already (click HERE to complete it now!)
Shortly, the strategic planning process will be moving towards the establishment of initial plan drafts, developed by Capitis Consulting and the SSA's executive leadership and Board Planning Sub-Committee. The initial focus and importance will be the development of recommendations with respect to the SSA's organizational and membership structure.
As such, we invite all Regular and Associate Members and Entities to attend an important membership structure meeting in November 2015. Under the guidance of Paul Varian of Capitis Consulting, the SSA Board of Directors invites in-depth discussion regarding this key success factor from the current Strategic plan:
KEY SUCCESS FACTOR: MEMBERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
“By 2015, the SSA will have developed an organizational structure that will enhance the growth and development of Association membership across the province.”
This discussion will outline an initial draft of membership structure recommendations being brought forward from Capitis Consulting and may contribute to the development of bylaw amendments that Membership may wish to consider to help to move the recommendations forward.
We strongly encourage all Members to bring the voice of their organization to the table; small, medium and large, rural or urban, Entity, Regular or Associate member; your voice is important to this discussion.
By working together we can define a new structure of cooperation and come to a clear understanding of the roles and responsibilities which will lay the path for the future growth of soccer at all levels in the province.
MARK THE DATE AND PLEASE PLAN TO ATTEND:
NOVEMBER, 21ST, Saskatoon – Saskatoon Inn, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
