Saskatchewan Open Cup Results

2015-08-18

The Saskatchewan Open Cup took place over the weekend of August 14-16 in Saskatoon with the winners earning the opportunity to represent the province at the CSA Nationals in Calgary this fall.

In the Men's category, the participant teams included Lakeland United, FC Regina and the reigning champions HUSA Alumni Saskatoon. After a 3 match round robin, first place was awarded to HUSA Alumni and after a close 2-1 game versus Lakeland, second place was awarded to Regina FC.

The Women’s duel featured Hollandia Impact (2013 Saskatchewan Open Cup Champions) and first time entrant Gremio FC. After the 2 game aggregate final, Hollandia Impact came away with the Saskatchewan Cup Champion title.

A huge thank you to all of the participating teams. We are looking forward to seeing you again next year!

And... Best of luck to the Hollandia Impact and the HUSA Alumni at the 2015 CSA Club Nationals!

Nationals will be taking place October 7 to 12 in Calgary; make sure to check back for updates!
